Coca-Cola and agency C-Section have created a one-of-a-kind remote-controlled vending machine to communicate their “Open Happiness” motto for Valentine’s Day. Installed in one of Istanbul’s most crowded shopping malls, the machine was designed to serve Coke cans to couples only: the only way to make the machine work was to prove that you were indeed a couple. This is a great way to associate Coca-Cola with happy moments (and public displays of affection) but also to reinforce the perception that Coca-Cola is a cutting-edge brand.
